Former Denver Broncos Receiver Dies From COVID-19 Complications
Friday night, former Denver Broncos wide receiver, Orlando McDaniel, 59, died from coronavirus related complications after traveling to visit family in Washington, D.C., according to LSU track and field coach Dennis Shaver.
McDaniel has an impressive athletic history and "still ranks tied for third in LSU history in the 55 indoor hurdles and tied for ninth in the 110 outdoor hurdles", according to ESPN.
"He was one of the most important people in our sport. He had to persuade youth to spend their summers doing something productive. Orlando had essentially dedicated his life to it. They'd come to summer meets and have two busloads full of people. It was a real impressive group of people. He's sorely going to be missed."
