A Grateful Memory of February 10, 11 and 12, 1989 at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California.

It was a wild 3-day weekend in southern California, taking the short drive down the curvy Pasadena Freeway to see the Grateful Dead at the Forum with my friends Maria and Casey.

A lot of special guests showed up. On Saturday, February 10th, percussionist Airto Moreira along with his wife Flora Purim and their daughter joined in during "Drums."

At the Sunday night show, February 11th, Spencer Davis made an appearance with the Grateful Dead playing his Spencer Davis Group's hit "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "How Long, How Long Blues."

During the second set of  Sunday's show Bob Dylan showed up. He sang and played on "Monkey and the Engineer" and "Stuck Inside of Mobile (with the Memphis Blues Again). Dylan even stuck around for a double encore with the Dead covering Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away" and "Knockin' On Heaven's Door."

Get out and enjoy some live music and make yourself some memories.
