When Thursday’s (2/23) winter blizzard shut down the highway at Green River with 5 – 7 inches of snow, residents there all had to deal with nature’s forces, but several locals also took time out to care for others. Green River Volunteer Firefighters set up 25 to 30 cots at the rec center for stranded travelers. Four others from local Emergency Management helped too.”
