Clare Danes Played Her In The Movie.

She is in the heroes section of Time Magazine’s Top 100 of 2010, where they “name the people that most affected our world.”  She’s a world renowned and gifted Doctor of animal science, and is also a specialist in improving the handling of animals in the livestock industry.  She has autism, is a compelling activist and is an author of several inspirational books on the subject that she knows personally. She is Dr. Temple Grandin, and the Laramie County Library Foundation is proud to welcome her as this year’s featured speaker at their Book Lovers Bash, Friday, October 23rd, at Little America.

The Booklover’s Bash, is the biggest fundraiser for the Laramie County Library, and this night will be filled with great food, fun, and lots of inspiration from Temple Grandin, who’s been a major influence to countless individuals with autism and their families.

Dr Grandin shares her struggles with autism, and gives hope on how those with autism can live fulfilling lives, and gives her concepts on how to overcome challenges associated with Autism and Asperger’s.  Dr. Grandin has published several books including “The Way I See it:  A Personal Look at Autism & Asperger’s,” “The Autistic Brain,” and “Thinking in Pictures,” a book about her life which was made into a movie starring Clare Danes.

The evening includes dinner, live and silent auctions, and you’ll be able to meet countless business leaders and individuals from the community, all while supporting the Laramie County Public Library Foundation, in their efforts to continue educational, cultural and literacy in the library systems in Laramie County, which include Cheyenne, Pine Bluffs, Burns, as well as the bookmobile.
