If You Love Wyoming History Old Trail Town Is A Must-See
You think you've seen everything historic in Wyoming, and then you find out about Old Trail Town. The old west-style town is located in Cody, Wyoming, and is exactly what the name says.
It's a town with buildings dating back to 1879, a collection of horse-drawn vehicles, a cemetery, and an extensive collection of artifacts, all in a town setting on the West side of Cody.
The twenty-six buildings in Old Trail Town are from all around the region. In 1967, a local Wyoming history lover named Bob Edgar began collecting historic buildings and historical relics to put on display.
In some cases, the buildings were in rough shape, so they were taken apart and rebuilt at their new home in Old Trail town.
