Is Dairy Queen Really Offering Free Ice Cream In Wyoming?
It's been a tough winter and here in Wyoming, we have the potential for another couple months of winter weather.
Technically, Monday March 20th is the first day of spring and Dairy Queen wants to usher it in with free ice cream.
This may not surprise you, but there are currently only 9 Dairy Queen's in the state of Wyoming and Casper is the only town with more than one DQ. One on 2nd Street and One on Poplar.
You can find at least 1 DQ in Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Laramie, Riverton and Sheridan. According to the DQ website, there's one coming to Powell.
The ice cream favorite, opened their first store in Joliet, Illinois in 1940. The secret began to spread and before long Dairy Queen stores were opening all over the country and eventually the world. Today there are well over 6,000 stores world wide.
The ice cream giant announced on social media that they will be offering free small ice cream cones on March 20th to celebrate spring at all 'non-mall' DQ locations.
Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, you can still get into the spring mind frame by enjoying Free Cone Day to kick off what they're calling 'Treat Szn'.
There are a couple catches to get the free cone
- 1 per person
- The deal ends when the store closes
- You may not be able to get the deal on delivery or mobile orders
- While supplies last
