In heaven, there is no beer.
That's why we drink it here (Right Here!)
and when we're gone from here,
our friends will be drinking all our beer!

Those words can spark a rally for the Cowboys in a tight spot. War Memorial Stadium comes alive when the first note is played, and you hear a collective "WOO HOO" as the song plays.

"In Heaven, There Is No Beer" is a fantastic tradition in Wyoming. With the rapidly approaching college football season, the @CollegeFootball Instagram page posted a Top 100 list of the best traditions in college football.

Sure enough, the beer song made the list—barely, but being #100 IS ON THE LIST.

At every Wyoming home game the fans sing this glorious song and even the band joins in on the fun, playing the melody to the song known as “The Beer Song”! A great tradition ranking at 100.

Just thinking about the stadium erupting in excitement when the song starts to play gets me all fired up for another Pokes Football Season.

The song has been a tradition at the University of Wyoming for a long time, but last fall, it was given a different spin. It is a weird, interesting, "Are you serious?" spin, but different.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
