The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning southeast Wyoming residents about winds of up to 80 miles per hour this week, with heightened fire danger also a concern.

The agency issued a decision packet on Monday afternoon which included the following:

Through Wednesday 9 PM Key Points: ➔ Winds increase through Tuesday afternoon, with a brief lull during the evening before increasing again on Wednesday. ➔ Strongest and most widespread gusts on Wednesday; conditions may extend into the weekend. ➔ Fire Weather concerns throughout the week as low RH coincide with strong wind. Fore clarification, RH stands for "relative humidity."
