The earthquake in Japan on Friday has been recalculated to 9.0 on the Richter Scale. The death toll continues to rise as the clean up begins and more amazing video footage has been surfacing.

Along with the initial destruction, the earthquake and tsunami also created a huge whirlpool. For perspective on how large this whirlpool is, look for the ship floating near the center.
