It’s a good time to buy summer clothes, back to school items, grills, patio furniture (which will be lower in later in September) and cars. It’s because of the availability of so many people off work and able to buy in what some retailers say is second to Black Friday sales.

But seriously, this year, summer ends September 22nd, at 8:28 AM and then Autumn begins.

The first Labor Day holiday was in 1882, in New York City, and was eventually adopted across the country on the first Monday in September, as a creation of the labor movement and is an annual national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Thanks working folk. Here’s some people who won’t be working Labor Day because they are closed or have limited hours.
