Man Caught Speeding with Marijuana Near Cheyenne Was Involved in Mafia Slaying
Laramie County District Attorney Jeremiah Sandburg says an 81-year-old South Carolina man who his office has charged with felony marijuana charges was involved in a 1970s mafia slaying.
Sandburg says Henry Sentner was convicted in the 1972 slaying of Emmanuel 'Manny' Gambino, the nephew of infamous mafia leader Carlo Gambino. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the killing.
Sentner was arrested Sunday after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper pulled him over for speeding on Interstate 80 west of Cheyenne and discovered 35 pounds of marijuana in his rental car.
Sentner is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and speeding. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
