Jennie Gordon, Wyoming's First Lady, is on a mission to make sure children across Wyoming have breakfast and lunch every day for school, according to Wyoming Public Media.

Jennie is helping spread the word about the No Kid Hungry program. This program was put together to help stop childhood hunger in America. 1 out of 6 children will face hunger at some point this year. This is a campaign from Share Our Strength, an organization that works on ending hunger and poverty.

As the first lady travels Wyoming she is finding out the needs for the schools and the communities surrounding them to figure out how she can help. She is working with the Wyoming Department of Education to implement universal breakfast for students across the state.

"The kids have to go to the cafeteria to get their meal, so they're sort of choosing between going to the playground and playing with their friends or going to get their meal. So, if they can do it in the classroom, the stigma's gone. They can still play with their friends, and it's almost just another tool," Jennie told Wyoming Public Media.

Another one of her goals is to connect all the programs across the state that are helping with the hunger of the students to make the project more successful. This should all come into place by the end of the summer, perfect for the next school year.
