The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding whoever stole over $9,000 worth of power tools from a trailer that was parked in the 900 block of E. Jefferson Road.

Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Warner says the 2007 Wells Cargo trailer, which belonged to a Cheyenne roofing contractor, was burglarized sometime between Jan. 6-7.

"Numerous power tools were taken, including a Makita cordless drill set and four Makita skill saws," said Warner. "The total estimated value of the tools taken was $9,460."

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at (307) 638-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
