Paul McCartney Shares New ‘Fuh You’ Single, Full LP Track Listing
Paul McCartney has released a new single from his upcoming album Egypt Station — the naughtily titled “Fuh You” — as well as the record’s full track listing.
Egypt Station is due for release Sept. 7.
“Fuh You” is the third song McCartney has revealed from the eagerly anticipated album, his first since 2013's New.
You can listen to “Fuh You” below.
McCartney said of the song, “We were just thinking of ideas and little pieces of melody and chords and the song just came together bit by bit. And then I would try and make some kind of sense of the story. So it was like, 'Come on baby now. Talk about yourself. Tell the truth, let me get to know you’ and basically I wanna know how you feel, you make me wanna go out and steal. I just want it for you.
“So that was the basic idea,” he continued, “and it developed from there … sort of a love song, but a raunchy love song. There you go — fuh you."
Along with releasing “Fuh You," McCartney has also revealed the full track listing for Egypt Station. You can check out the listing below.
The lead-up to the new album's release has seen McCartney play intimate shows in a Liverpool pub, at Abbey Road Studios and at the Cavern Club, the tiny Liverpool club where the Beatles began their meteoric rise.
He also appeared on U.S. television, showing The Late Late Show host James Corden around his old haunts and taking part in Corden’s popular “Carpool Karaoke” segment. The segment was viewed by 130 million people on Facebook and YouTube, and has prompted The Late Late Show’s network CBS to commission an hour-long standalone program that will air Aug. 20 at 8PM ET.
McCartney has also announced a handful of dates for his upcoming tour in support of Egypt Station, beginning with a Sept. 17 show at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City.
