Now you can enjoy your SunChips without going deaf. Frito-Lay has corrected last year's marketing snafu when it introduced biodegradable SunChips bags that may have been good for the environment, but added the noise pollution. The bags were so noisy; they proved louder than a subway train in a Today show segment. They also inspired the Facebook group "Sorry But I Can't Hear You Over This SunChips Bag," which racked up more than 44,000 fans.

Now, however, Fast Company says:

Frito-Lay has muffled the noisy bags by adding rubbery adhesive between the bag's layers, cutting from sound from 85 to 70 decibels. For now, the new bags are limited to Original SunChips, but if consumers approve, they'll roll it out to all SunChips flavors.
