Since 1998, “Vertical Dance at Vedauwoo” has been an end-of-summer favorite with anyone who wanted to climb up on a big rock and watch the show.

The natural rock formations at Vedauwoo offering a spectacular setting for the dance that is brought to the public by the University of Wyoming Theater & Dance performers.

This years show, 2018, was called Dancing Between Earth And Sky.

Folks gathered below the performers and high up on any rock that offered a view. Providing that someone might dare to climb way up there. The music was live. The dancers were on the boulders on the ground, hanging from ropes above, with a few dancers suspended from lines that were tethered over the audience.
