A school board decision to ban a book is causing controversy in Cody. This week, the board voted to remove "A Bad Boy Can Be Good For A Girl" from the library at Cody High School.

In the novel, three teenage girls compete for the affection of a cheating boyfriend. Two of the characters have sex with the boy. The book drew rave reviews from several publications, including the School Library Journal.

The board voted 5-1 to remove the book and will also implement new software to notify parents when their children check out materials from the school library.
