It's going to be quite a fall for Billie Joe Armstrong. Not only does Green Day have their Revolution Radio on the release schedule, but fans will also be able to catch the singer in his first starring role on the big screen in the new film Ordinary World. A trailer for the film has surfaced online that you catch watch above.

As you can gather from the trailer, Armstrong stars as Perry, a former rocker-turned-family man stunted in his everyday life. His wife has forgotten his 40th birthday, his daughter questions him about his true occupation and family have doubts about his motivations. The frustration sets in until his brother provides him with the opportunity to throw a major birthday bash to recapture some of his past glory.

The film stars Selma Blair, Judy Greer, Fred Armisen, Brian Baumgardner, Chris Messina and more and it's set to arrive on Oct. 17. The film will screen in select theaters and will also arrive on DVD the same day.

In addition to starring in the film, Armstrong penned four original songs for the movie. One track, "Ordinary World," will also appear on Green Day's Revolution Radio album. The Revolution Radio disc drops on Oct. 7.
