Who would you pick as your favorite player in Sunday's Super Bowl XLVIII?

The Denver Broncos face the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on February 2. Which player on one of those teams do you admire most? It's a hard choice, but I'd have to say Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson impresses me the most. Just to be fair, my second choice would be Denver's defensive tackle Mitch Unrein, #96, due to his toughness and because he played for the Wyoming Cowboys.

Wilson was chosen as the 12th pick in the third round of the NFL draft in 2012 by the Seahawks. The 75th player taken overall. Many teams said he wasn't tall enough at 5 foot 11 inches, but I like an underdog.

The 25-year-old quarterback was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Virginia. He played in the 2012 Rose Bowl for the Wisconsin Badgers, who lost to the Oregon Ducks.

Like Bo Jackson before him, Wilson plays both football and baseball. In 2010 he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies but chose college football before spring training started. Last month, he was acquired by the Texas Rangers.

Russell Wilson set several NFL rookie records including the most wins by a quarterback in their first two seasons at 24. He is also tied for the most passing touchdowns by a rookie in a season at 26, Wilson is tied with the quarterback he'll face on Sunday, Peyton Manning.
