Winter Storm Could Impact Travel This Weekend
With a winter storm forecast to dump around 30 inches of snow in the higher elevations and five to ten on the lower elevations of southeast Wyoming this weekend, The Wyoming Department of Transportation is expecting travel to be difficult and dangerous.
The Interstate 80 corridor is expected to take the brunt of the storm late Friday night and throughout Saturday. This includes the Laramie and Cheyenne areas. Forecasts say that the heaviest snow may fall along I-80 from the Rawlins to Pine Bluff areas Saturday.
If you're planning to travel Friday through Sunday, plan ahead and monitor weather conditions. Travel could become very dangerous, if not impossible.
