Our state is no stranger to Bigfoot sightings. Hundreds of reports have been made in the past, but still no solid evidence of the existence of the hairy ape. But, that doesn't mean the creature doesn't exist? Right?

A woman named Claudia Ackley, from Southern California, is convinced she witnessed Bigfoot during a hike last Spring. So much so, that she is upset that the State of California doesn't believe her eyewitness account.

According to the San Diego Union- Tribune

Ackley is suing the California Department of Fish and Wildlife as well as the state’s National Resources Agency, according to court records. She claims that, in spite of “overwhelming facts,” the agencies have failed in their duty by not acknowledging the existence of the creatures, according to the suit.

She also claims that by not acknowledging Bigfoot’s existence, the state is endangering the public.

A court date has been scheduled for next month. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
