Wyoming Game Officials Seek Information on Elk Poaching Case
Game managers are looking for information after an elk was killed and left to waste in western Wyoming.
Lander Game Warden Brady Frude is hoping to receive a tip from the public after the animal was discovered over the weekend in Rock Creek Reservoir, inside Elk Hunt Area 28. Its head and antlers had been removed, and all edible portions were left to waste, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Stop Poaching Hotline at (877) WGFD-TIP. Reports can also be submitted online at wgfd.wyo.gov, by texting TIP411 using keyword WGFD, or calling Frude directly at (307) 332-2704.
Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 if their information leads to a conviction.
