The NBA's Ron Artest changed his name this week to Metta World Peace, so why not....

While at the courthouse taking care of the paperwork to divorce his third wife, Missourian George F. Blackburn decided to do something he’d been thinking about for a long time.

He changed his name to Led Zeppelin II, in honor of his favorite rock album.

“[Led Zeppelin] changed my life, forever, and that’s my whole reason for doing this,” he said. He added that his life has now “improved a thousand fold,” and that even his most recent ex-wife has embraced the change by calling him L.Z. or Zep.

“I don’t want to appear to be some off-the-wall, drug-addict idiot,” he said. “I just changed my name from the standpoint that I can be a better person than I used to be.”

We’re just glad his favorite Zeppelin album wasn’t ‘Houses of the Holy.’
