This lovingly and fully (#s match) restored 1976 Pontiac Trans Am is now up for auction with tickets just $25.

This restoration is based on the Burt Reynolds movie "Smokey & The Bandit and the proceeds will benefit 3 Laramie County organizations. Habitat For Humanity, Safehouse and the children's programs of the Cheyenne YMCA.

Grab your tickets at Midas on Lincolnway, SpeeDee on Dell Range, any of the three charities or online.

The winning ticket will be drawn immediately following the Cheyenne Chamber Christmas Parade on November 28, 2015.  Online sales will be cut off on November 27, 2015 at noon.

Introducing the car was part of another community benefit for the Wyoming Food Bank Of The Rockies, who did very well thanks to your generosity. Here they are taking some of the donations to their truck. UPDATE: Over three tons of food raised. Since Cheyenne beat the donations of Albuquerque (the current high doggie in the 25 city nationwide tour) Midas national will kick in an additional $10,000 for Laramie County. To help even more, include: #1mile1meal on social media to provide another meal and another mie for the Midas Drive Out Hunger Truck tour. DO it now! #1mile1meal.

I would also like to thank Nick Dodgson, who along with his family, in today's case include wife Brook and son PJ doing an excellent job at cooking up some hot dogs for those helping the food bank. Cheyenne and Laramie County are so much better off for this family being here, but that's another story. I will say, patronize those who do well for Cheyenne, i.e. Midas and Speedee.

Thanks for the great job on the hot dogs PJ!

Now, lets raise some other funds and win you a very cool car.

Oh, and speeding tickets? You're on your own.
