Do you have plans yet for New Year's Eve?

The local band, Wheelchair Getaway Drivers will be rocking The Drunken Skunk in downtown Cheyenne on New Year's Eve, get a preview on the 'KING FM Sunday Brunch.'

The members of the Wheelchair Getaway Drivers met while in high school at Cheyenne's East High School and have been playing at some of the local venues. During the 8 a.m. hour of the 'KING FM Christmas Sunday Brunch' join me,Grateful Mike, for my interview with this 5-piece local band.

We'll hear the story about where their unusual name came from and get introduced to the members of Wheelchair Getaway Drivers in part one of my interview.

  • Coda-percussion and background vocals
  • Nate-lead guitar
  • Chris-bass guitar

They play about an hour's worth of original songs and cover songs from bands such as Sublime, The Police, Reel Big Fish, Weezer and Bob Marley. The Wheelchair Getaway Drivers sound has been described as 'Ska Punk Rasta Funk.'
