Are you trying to fit some live music into your summer budget?

Throughout the summer, there seems to be more and more outdoor festivals offering free live entertainment right here in the Cheyenne area.

    Fridays On The Plaza

    From June through September, the Depot Plaza comes alive at the beginning of the weekend with Fridays On the Plaza from 5:30 until 8 p.m. The free entertainment is sponsored by the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.

    The 2016 lineup includes:

    Superday 2016

    The Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department shows off all the fun you can have in our parks each year at the Holly Frontier Superday in Lions Park.

    The 34th annual Superday will be held on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will include:

    • 23rd Annual Tour de Prairie bicycle race
    • Holly Superday 5k/10k Run/Walk
    • Holly Superday Show & Shine Car Show
    • Special Friends Duck Derby

    Cheyenne's Depot Plaza

    Along with Fridays On The Plaza each week throughout the summer, there are also a wide variety of festivals taking place in front of the historic depot in downtown Cheyenne on the Depot Plaza. Here's a sample:

    A Hole Lot of Music

    A stage has been constructed in 'The Hole' along Lincolnway in downtown Cheyenne and the Cheyenne Children's Museum hopes to bring entertainers there this summer.

    Pine Bluffs Trail Days

    If you want to experience some old time fun, plan to attend the annual Pine Bluffs Trail Days. This year's celebration takes place August 4-7.

    Along with plenty of food and friends, there is also free live and local entertainment offered.
