Cheyenne Native Bryce Meredith Gets A Key To The City [VIDEO]
Bryce Meredith just added another honor to his long list of achievements. The Central High grad and All American University of Wyoming wrestler received a "key to the city" from Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr last week.
"I couldn't do this on the Post Malone stage (at Cheyenne Frontier Days)," Orr joked at the ceremony. "Something about security."
After Meredith and Orr met at the concert, the Mayor invited the two-time NCAA National runner-up to City Hall. Meredith was joined at the event by his parents Bob and Lori, along with several friends and family members.
"This was such an amazing honor and one of the coolest awards I’ve received to this day," Meredith said on YouTube. "Luckily, most of my closest people could make it and make this day even more special than I could’ve imagined."
Following the ceremony, Meredith took his new memento for a joy ride, posing for pictures at the Wyoming State Capitol. Meredith is the second Cheyenne native to receive a key to the city from Orr. Last fall, the Mayor made a similar presentation to musician Scott Avett before the Avett Brothers performed at the Cheyenne Civic Center.
