Visit Cheyenne has announced the schedule of events for the New Year's Eve 2018 Ball drop.

According to the organization's website, festivities will kick off from 3-6 p.m. on Dec. 31 with a children's celebration at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza, including games, musical performances and other events for Cheyenne's younger residents.

The ball will then drop at 6 p.m. for anyone who doesn't want to stay up until midnight. The depot will then be open to all ages from 7 p.m. until midnight for drinks and to duck out of the cold. Ice skating on the plaza will also be held.

At 11:30 p.m. everyone will gather in the plaza for the countdown of the Ball Drop and the rining of the New Year.
