As Chis LeDoux and Charlie Daniels famously sang on their 1984 duet, "Even Cowboys Like a Little Rock and Roll".
As we remember a Wyoming icon on the anniversary of his death, here's a look back at LeDoux's best rock 'n' roll covers.
Desperado - On his1982 album "Used To Want to Be a Cowboy", LeDoux put his spin on the classic Eagles ballad.
Life is a Highway - Written by former Red Rider rocker Tom Cochrane, LeDoux's version appeared on his 1999 best-of album "20 Greatest Hits"
The Fever - Originally released by Aerosmith on their 1994 Get a Grip album, LeDoux's cover appeared on 1998's One Road Man.
Tougher Than the Rest - One of the standout tracks from Bruce Springsteen's Tunnel of Love album in 1987, LeDoux recorded the song for his greatest hits collection The Capitol Collection: 1990 - 2000.
Bang a Drum - Inspired by the movie Young Guns II, it appeared on Jon Bon Jovi's first solo album, 1990's Blaze of Glory. LeDoux's enlisted Bon Jovi's help for the cover, which was released eight years later on One Road Man.
