If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, the odds aren't in your favor. Historically, Cheyenne has a 37 percent chance of snowfall on December 25th, according to data compiled by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The study, which analyzed weather patterns in 54 cities around the country, concluded that Denver has a slightly better chance to get snow on Christmas day than Cheyenne. The best odds for a white Christmas are in Duluth, Minnesota, where the likelihood of snow on December 25th is 92 percent. Bozeman, Montana, ranked second nationwide, with a 76 percent chance for snow.

Last year was not a white Christmas in Cheyenne, with cloudy skies and a high of 40, just above the historical average high of 38 degrees on December 25th. 2019 could be a different story, however, with early forecasts calling for a chance of light snow early Christmas morning.
