Multiple rounds of moderate to heavy snow are expected to impact mountain travel in southeast Wyoming over the next few days, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne says.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for the Sierra Madre and Snowy ranges, where total snow accumulations of one to two feet are expected.

"Snow will taper off to light snow showers Tuesday afternoon, but become heavy again on Wednesday," the NWS said.

"Mountain travel will become dangerous due to icy, snow packed roads and reduced visibilities in falling and blowing snow," the NWS added. "Slow down and use caution while traveling."

Drivers are encouraged to call 511 or visit wyoroad.info for the latest road conditions and closures.
