There's quite a variety of entertainment choices in our area this first weekend of May.

The singer, songwriter from Chicago, John Prine, plays at the Paramount Theatre in Denver on Friday, May 3, with Tim O'Brien.

In Cheyenne, The Midtown Tavern will have a blues singer from Laramie, Tuffy Tanner. Along with some of his friends, he'll play original songs mixed in with upbeat blues tunes starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at The Midtown Tavern, also known as Anderson's Other Corner,1303 East Pershing Boulevard, and there's no cover charge. We'll be talking with Tuffy Tanner on Friday afternoon on KING FM to give you a preview of the show.The Patti Fiasco play a free show in Laramie at Prexy's Pasture on the University of Wyoming campus Friday, May 3, 11:30 until 1 p.m. and they'll be at the 3rd Street Cowboy Bar for a $5 show on Friday night at 9 in Laramie and at The Swing Station in Laporte, Colorado, on Saturday, May 4.

At Sanford's Pub and Grub, 115 East 17th Street, in downtown Cheyenne John Paul Hodge plays 7 to 10 on Friday night, May 3, and around the corner at The Drunken Skunk, 1617 Capitol Avenue, Daddy Rab will take the stage at 9 p.m. on Friday and there's no cover charge.

The Chugwater Band will be at the American Legion Post 6 on East Lincolnway from 7 to 10 on Friday night, May 3.
