Are you wondering where to shoot off all those fireworks you're buying?

Cheyenne area fireworks dealers are sponsoring a free safe shoot site on College Drive again this year with the support of Laramie County officials where you can explode certain types of fireworks purchased at the sponsor's stores.

The 2015 Fireworks Safe Shoot Site is open July 1st through 4th from 8 p.m. to midnight at 2275 West College Drive on the south side of the road. Shooters must be at least 18 years old and only certain fireworks are allowed. Participating fireworks dealers include:

  • USA Fireworks
  • Wholesale Fireworks
  • Pyro City PRO Fireworks
  • Black Cat Fireworks Outlet
  • Phantom Fireworks

This is a family friendly site and no alcohol or smoking is allowed at the area. A Laramie County Sheriff's Deputy will be at the Admittance Area. Also, no sparklers, smoke balls, bottle rockets, firecrackers and other novelties are allowed at the site area. The local participating outlets have a full list of rules and regulations and you can follow this link to see a copy of the waiver form.

The free shoot site is supported by the Laramie County Commissioners, the Laramie County Fire Department and the Laramie County Sheriff's Department. Fireworks are illegal to shoot off within Cheyenne's city limit with the exception of sparklers, smoke balls and other novelties.
