Portion of Southwest Drive to Close for Rail Replacement

UPDATE:

Due to equipment issues, Union Pacific has extended the closure of Southwest Drive at W. Lincolnway through Friday at 6 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A portion of Southwest Drive in Cheyenne will be closed Wednesday as Union Pacific does rail replacement.

City Traffic Engineer Anissa Gerard says message boards are being implemented along Southwest Drive to alert businesses and traffic in the area of the upcoming closure.

She says detour routes will be in place during the one-day closure.
