The ribbon-cutting for the new Taco John's restaurant at 101 South Greeley Highway was held on Friday morning.

On hand to introduce the new TJ's were Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr, Senator Tara Nethercott [representing the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce] and Taco John's CEO Jim Creel.

Officials with the restaurant chain say the South Greeley Taco John's is a prototype of stores the chain will be opening across the country. The changes include the company's recently updated logo, new ordering kiosks, contemporary branding and much more.

The new restaurant will officially open for business at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Taco John's started in Cheyenne 50 years ago, and it's corporate offices are still based here.
