Stealing Your iPhone & iPad Without Taking It

One hacker, maybe more, is now cracking into Apple devices and holding them for ransom. A black hat hacker is commandeering iPads and iPhones and then trying to shake you down for a C-note, possibly using a hole in the find my iPhone app.

The hacker is demanding $100 to unlock the device. Apple says don’t pay the ransom. They also say owners should change their Apple ID password immediately.
