
This Day In Cheyenne History: “Cheyenne Leader” News Paper Debuts
With the advent of the railroad and Cheyenne magically becoming a town in what seemed to be overnight, she wouldn't be complete without her own news paper.
The year was 1867, just after the building of the Transcontinental Railroad, that the 'Cheyenne Leader' premiered as Cheyenne's newspaper.
The first few months were printed in Denver, Colorado and later became known as the 'Leader.' It is know known as 'Wyoming.'
