Wyoming Faces Montana in Annual Basketball All-Star Games
Both Wyoming All-Star basketball teams will be trying to end losing streaks Friday and Saturday in their series with Montana.
The games are Friday in Billings, MT at Alterowitz Gymnasium from Montana State University-Billings, and then Saturday, they will play at the Golden Dome from Sheridan College in Sheridan, WY.
The girls will play at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m., both nights.
The Wyoming girls have dropped five straight in the series. Their last win was June 10, 2016, in Sheridan by a score of 71-64. Wyoming’s last victory in Billings was in 2014, 81-75. The girls’ series started in 1997. Montana’s overall series lead stands at 31-to-13.
The Wyoming boys seek to stop an even longer streak. They’ve lost 14 straight in the series and trail the Treasure State, 59-27. Wyoming’s last win was also their last victory in Billings. That was June 11, 2011, when they topped Montana in overtime, 90-84. The boys’ series dates back to 1976.
Saturday features the announcement of Mr. and Miss Wyoming Basketball in-between the two games in Sheridan.
