Wyoming photographer Dana Gage captured some of what I like about winter and Wyoming. Wide open spaces, Cold, crisp invigorating air, silence (until you walk and hear that crunch under your boots), solitude and time to breathe and think.

The earth has gone to sleep for a while, dormant, waiting to wake in a few months, bringing new life and a genuine appreciation for warm and sunny.

It is not the rugged grandeur or majesty of The Tetons, but the still life and subtle beauty that is another face of Wyoming.

This photograph brings me peace. I hope it does for you as well.
