Broncos Talk New QB Before Offensive Line – Again [OPINION]
They’re doing it again. It’s really simple. Wait, it’s simple to say what the problem is. It may be another thing to address an awful Offensive Line. If Denver Bronco’s General Manager John Elway doesn’t do more to clog holes there, all the talk of a better quarterback will not matter. I agree the guy taking snaps is important, but as they say, he gets too much credit – and too much blame.
Besides that, I just don't believe the Broncos were a 5-11 team, though that line looked more like 2-14.
I’ll tell you who I think is not a bad quarterback - Trevor Seimeon. I’m not sure how I feel about Broncos players lobbying for Kirk Cousins, while Trevor still hasn't been traded. At least he looked great in the first two games of the 2017 season. I am still befuddled by what happened from there. Did the O’Line and Trevor both over-achieve for two games? After that and a few straight losses, I thought, “Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.” (Bill & Ted are so old, kids don’t know what that reference was about, but I bet they’re smart enough to figure it out.)
Elway has been called a genius, but you know how geniuses sometimes have no “horse” sense. And I thought I would never say an unkind word about my hero, old number 7. I guess that’s just where I’m at right now – especially after we’ve seen this whole scenario before, and didn’t do much about it last year. Yep, they’re doing it again.
