Are you in the mood for some live music this week?

There's lots of places offering entertainment to help relieve the stress of the holiday season. On Friday, December 13, local guitarist George Ball returns to The Midtown Tavern, also known as Anderson's Other Corner at 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, for a free show starting at 8 p.m.The Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins has Fierce Bad Rabbit playing Thursday, December 12, beginning at 8 p.m. The cost is $10 for this 16 and over show.

The Head and the Heart perform at the Ogden Theatre in Denver on Thursday, December 12, at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $30.75.

Another Perfect Circus will be at the American Legion Post 6, 2001 East Lincolnway, from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, December 13.

Seven Sundays play a farewell gig at The Drunken Skunk, 1617 Capitol Avenue, on Friday, December 13, starting at 9 p.m. and there's no cover charge.

Steel March are at The Crown Bar, on the corner of Carey and West Lincolnway, starting at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, December 13, with Bobby Phillips opening the evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Both shows are free of charge.

Boxcar Blaney and Rich Ryan perform at Sanford's Pub and Grub, on 17th Street in downtown Cheyenne, on Friday, December 13, from 7 to 10 p.m. with no cover charge.

The Paramount Cafe, 1607 Capitol Avenue, hosts an Open Mic Night from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 13. Any family-friendly type of performance is welcome including music, comedy and poetry. Sign up begins at 6:30 p.m. and the evening is limited to three acts so get there early to show off your talent.
