Travel Site Names Cheyenne Depot as “Wyoming’s Most Beautiful Building”
The national travel site Thrillist published a new article this week naming "The Most Beautiful Building in Every State". Their choice for the most majestic structure in Wyoming is the historic Cheyenne Depot Museum.
The article cites the history of the building, which once served as a "gateway to the West" in the late 1800's. It also notes the sandstone masonry that was used to construct the iconic building by renowned 19th century architect Henry Van Brunt.
The United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel was named as Colorado's most beautiful building. Butte's Copper King Mansion got the nod in Montana. Omaha's Union Station is honored as Nebraska's best building. The Salt Lake Tabernacle was crowned as Utah's most magnificent structure.
