With demand growing at twice the speed of whiskey supplies, your next shot could get very expensive, if you'll be able to get it at all.

Overseas markets like China and Australia are drinking more American whiskey thanks to a lowering of import tariffs. Some are moving over from beer and wine to whiskey and there is currently no surge in production to make up for the new demand.

But even if distilleries jumped on it right now, there would still be a major gap because of the many years involved in the slow aging process.
