Imagine that you found the home of your dreams, it’s perfect for the kids, it’s close to shopping, etc., and even though it’s close to the landfill, the neighborhood was still thriving and property values were strong in that area. Then years after you purchased your home, you find out that the landfill that’s wasn’t too far from your home, may soon be closer, due to plans of expanding, and that your property values could be threatened. This scenario is a reality for some residents west of Cheyenne living near the Happy Jack Landfill.

We’ve had some sad losses over the weekend, one of them being rock icon Lou Reed who passed away on Sunday, only 6 months after he had a liver transplant. We also lost a television icon this past Friday, actress Marcia Wallace.

Alf from the Redwood Lounge paid us a visit and brought along some special friends, Dwight and Jodi from Healing Waters, an organization dedicated in helping several disabled or active military personnel and veterans through physical and emotional rehabilitation, all by doing some fly fishing as well as fly tying education. We want you to join us tonight to help raise money for this wonderful organization, AND get a chance to win $500 dollars!

Sometimes it’s hard to be a parent who has kids in sports, when they win, it’s great but when they loose, it can be pretty saddening. But, as my parents always believed, it’s just a part of growing up, and sometimes loosing can teach our kids how to be better sports when it comes to loosing, and that they gave it their all and should be proud of themselves. It's an opportunity for kids to learn by the mistakes, take it on the chin, and prepare to win next time. But what if your child’s high school football team looses 91 to 0?!!!

Sad news is surfacing about long time radio personality Casey Kasem. According to TMZ, who acquired new documents stating Casey’s current condition, Casey’s heath is on a sharp decline and he's nearing death.

Saturday night was a "ghoulish" success, as many got into the "spirit" to beautify downtown Cheyenne at the 2013 "Boo-tification Ball" at the Holiday Inn!

I got a call from my wonderful friend Dianne from Underwood Flowers and Gifts in Cheyenne, who's husband is involved with the Cheyenne Shriners Club. When I asked her what they were up to, she told me about how we can help the Cheyenne Shriners Club help families, and all you have to do is pop open a can!

You know when you’re nearing Halloween when everything you watch is either gory, or downright stupid, in a nightmarish sort of way, including what you see in the theaters. This weekend is no exception!

In case you didn’t know, today is National Bosses Day! (And now that you do know, you’re probably running to the nearest gift shop to save face!) According to this, there are at least 4 basic bosses that we either had, or are currently working for.

I remember when I was about 12 years old; I went trick or treating with a friend of mine who was a year younger then me. We went to a house where this woman who, mind you wasn’t the friendliest of people, said “Don’t you think you’re a little too old to be trick or treating Teri?” This really bothered me, seeing as though there were lots of other kids my age who were trick or treating, and I was only 12 years old. Was I too old?
