Constructed in 1887 to house a candy shop at street level and office space on the upper two floors, 211 West Lincolnway in Cheyenne is now home to the Historic Atlas Theater. The conversion of the first floor to a theater happened in 1908 and ran until 1929.

With periods of being vacant, it became the Strand, the Pink Pony nightclub and eventually Cheyenne Little Theatre Players started putting on live theater and then bought the building.

Recently, you may have noticed the stripping of the old paint and the scaffolding out front, all leading up to what will be its new look using historically accurate colors. They hope to have the work done by July.

This Register of Historic Places building has memories for many and rumor has it, a couple of ghosts.
